  • Episode Description
  • Eugene is presented with an offer he finds hard to refuse, and Ellenor is shocked when she hears the news, knowing full well that any departure by Eugene would mean the beginning of the end of the practice. Across town at Crane, Poole & Schmidt, Denny Crane ruffles some feathers by making Tara his personal paralegal, and Hannah Rose enlists Shore's help in handling an assault case involving two hockey players.moreless

    Allusions (1)

    • The hockey assault video: One hockey player comes from behind and punches the other, who then falls down onto the ice with the puncher on top of him.
This is an obvious recreation of the Todd Bertuzzi and Steve Moore incident between the Vancouver Canucks and the Colorado Avalanche. Bertuzzi punched Moore from behind which set off a fall that subsquently fractured Moore's neck. The incident was investigated by the Vancouver PD, but no assault charges have yet been laid.
