    Trivia (1)

    • Martha Raye matched Red Skelton in skits during rehearsals for the show. A boot-leg copy of their infamous "Cleopatra" parody from 1962. Martha (mistakenly?) calls Red's character "King Tit" at one point she takes her hand to feel his muscles, Red grabs his crotch to protect that area from inspection. Martha responds with "All right, throw it over here. Holy Christ!" as she grabs his leg, feigning that she's touching his manhood. "Welcome to Hollywood Knickerbocker, no ballroom!" Red cracks. Martha shoots back with "If that wasn't your knee, I'd marry you!" Later there are more leers and lines between the two, when Martha asks to see his tongue and Red rolls it around his mouth to indicate how it can be used. "A tongue like that, and all he wants to do is hump!" Martha exclaims as Red cracks up.
