    • The usual opening sequence isn't seen in this episode. Instead, it starts off with Homer reluctantly going to the polls to vote for the U.S. President. When Homer votes for Mitt Romney, he views his tax returns on the monitor where he learns some juicy secrets that make him want to report it all to the press. But instead, he's pulled into a giant vacuum that outsources him to a job in a U.S. flag-making factory in China. Initially, he's grateful for having a steady job, but then quickly dismayed when he's joined by his sister-in-law Selma.

When this episode is rerun, an opening sequence is seen which starts off with Itchy flying a plane, having Scratchy tied to its propeller when the show title appears. There are no Billboard or Chalkboard gags, but the Couch gag shows sheets of an animation cel of the living room. The Simpsons are first seen as dark shadow figures, then as each page drops in, more of their bodies are shown, beginning with their skeletons, their brains and vascular systems, their internal organs, then their skulls and ribs. At this point, Homer pulls out a donut in his stomach. Finally, their muscles, then their skin, hair, and clothing are seen, and afterward, Homer begins eating the donut.
