    Notes (3)

    • Itchy & Scratchy: "O Solo Meow." Scratchy eats a plate of Itchy's spaghetti, with a bomb substituting for a meatball. Scratchy realizes what he has eaten and, in a panic, races out the door so quickly that he knocks off his head. As his body explodes, a dog waiter walking by with a tray trips over Scratchy's head and crashes to the ground.

    • In the DVD commentary for this episode, director Jim Reardon pointed out that this episode came back from a brand new overseas animation company with a lot of mistakes. The majority of the goofs for this episode can be credited to this problem. The animation company in question is Anivision (now part of Sunwoo Entertainment), which would continue animating Simpsons episodes along with Akom and Rough Draft (the latter joining the show in the fourth season) up until the tenth season.

    • Blackboard Joke: Nobody likes sunburn slappers. Couch Gag: The family does an Egyptian style dance in front of the couch.
