  • Quotes (1)

    • Mr. Nightingale: You see before you one who feels it incumbent upon himself to hoard what little strength he possesses. Indeed, even as I begin, I am already overcome by anxiety, lest I should be unable to conclude... Let me say at once that, of course, I am mad. So would you be, if you had undergone what I experienced. All of you! All of you!

    Notes (3)

    • Extras playing uncredited walk-ons in this episode were Leslie Weekes, Roy Pearce, Martin Grant, Charles Adey-Gray, Colin Thomas, Neville Ware, William Gossling and Garth Watkins.

    • The actress playing Frau Elyse is billed as "Susan Maudslay", not "Maudsley". There seems to be some confusion as to the correct spelling of her surname.

    • Although the end-credits list Donald Eccles as playing "Herr Steekebeck's father" (with the result that this information has also appeared subsequently in various reference-works), he in fact plays "Herr Topelius", who is specifically said in the course of the episode to be Herr Steekebeck's father-in-law.
