  • Jerome Hines distinguished Metropolitan Opera basso is the guest soloist. Howard Barlow conducts the Orchestra and Chorus. Highlights: The Orchestra opens with "Oklahoma" from "Oklahoma by Rodgers and Hammerstein Jerome Hines sings "Oh What a Beautiful Morning" from "Oklahoma! by Rodgers and Hammerstein. Four girls from the Chorus perform "La Golondrina" by Narciso Serradell The Chorus performs "Skip to My Lou" Traditional adapted by Martin and Blane. Jerome and the Chorus perform "Tumbling Tumbleweeds" by Bob Jones. Jerome sings "In the Town of Kazan" from "Boris Godunov" by Moussorgaky with an English translation by Hines. The Orchestra performs "Overture to Orpheus" by Offenbach. Jerome Hines and the Orchestra close with "Song of the Open Road" Albert Hay Malotte.moreless
