  • Jerome Hines distinguished Metropolitan Opera basso is the guest soloist with a special performance by Prima ballerina Mia Slavenska. Howard Barlow conducts the Orchestra and Chorus. Highlights: The Orchestra opens with Overture "Marriage of Figaro" by Mozart. Jerome Hines sings "In Diesen Hall'gen Hallen" from "Magic Flute" by Mozart. The Chorus sings Finale, Act II "Die Fledermaus" by Strauss. Ballerina Mia Slavenka performs "The Swan" from "Carnival of the Animals" by Saint-Saens with a cello solo by Harvey Shapiro. Jerome Hines and the Chorus perform "La Veau d'Or" from "Faust" by Gounod. Jerome Hines solos with "O God Our Help in Ages Past" by Croft. The Orchestra performs "Waltz of the Flowers" by Tchaikovsky. Hines and the Chorus close with "Rogue Song" by Stothart.moreless
