  • Quotes (4)

    • Artie: No, it isn't that, it's hay-fever. All I have to do is go through Kansas, I become a handkerchief case.
Jim: How'd you get in the Secret Service with hay-fever?
Artie: I kept it a secret.

    • Artie: You know, around here, a hundred miles from nowhere, the women, they don't know the difference between fine jewelry and Indian beads. They think a caret is to feed a horse.

    • Poore: I assume the Secret Service has a substantial insurance plan to comfort your loved ones.
Jim: Double indemnity if I'm barbequed in the line of duty.

    • Artie: Whoa, my pleasure. Hey, she's lovely.
Jim: Just say the word and I'll arrange an introduction.
Artie: Consider the word said. What's her name?
Jim: Jennifer Colton. Alias Prudence Mallory. And if you lighten the hair just a little, you'll know her as Abigail Moss, wanted in four states.
Artie: Why do you always have to spoil everything?
Jim: Artie, I didn't spoil a thing. If you want to see her, you can on the first Sunday of every month.

    Notes (2)

    • Commercial breaks: ll: black box soundmaker and speaking tube on fire, ur: Jim, lr: candle burning through string, ul: Jim and Artie

    • Injoke: The town of Kirby Gap is named after Producer's Assistant Joe Kirby.

    Trivia (5)

    • Gadgets: spike-shooting gun and hand-winch, hidden explosive in boot heel with a contact trigger, pen-telescope

    • Disguise: reverend, jewelry salesman Henrick William Van de Velde

    • In the scene where James West springs into the hidden attic of the building where Lucius Brand was caught with the gun, wires are clearly visible when watching in slow motion.

    • When the stagecoach driver helps Abigail off the stage, his lips don't move as someone (badly) overdubs the actor's dialogue.

    • When the murderess tells her men to search Jim and "Artie," it's clear that it's Ross Martin's stunt double, who looks almost nothing like him.
