A great episode for fans of the ThunderKittens!
This episode was a wonderful plot for children as it focused on the two youngest ThunderCats, Wilykit and Wilykat, and their desire to be treated like adults - something which many kids could identify with. Wilykat again leads his twin into trouble by convincing her to break the rules in an effort to be treated like adults. But when the Mutants attack, the kids are lucky to escape but know they'll be in serious trouble when the others find out their weapons are in the hands of the Mutants.
With the others all gone, the twins finally have to tell Lion-O what they did, another great message to kids to fess up when they make a mistake. Not only does Lion-O help them, but he also develops a deeper bond with the kids as they come to realize just how much they really can trust him and just how much he looks out for them like an older brother would.
It was a great episode for the developing relationship between Lion-O and the ThunderKittens as not only did he look out for their physical safety, but keeping what they did a secret from the other ThunderCats when Wilykit was ready to confess to everything, helping to build trust between Lion-O and his young colleagues.
These kinds of episodes were often why I watched the show as a kid, as the ThunderKittens were my favorite characters back then. It's an episode that most kids will latch onto as one they can identify with and come to love Lion-O more than ever before.moreless
