  • Episode Description
  • Hooker and Romano spot a van jumping a red light in a seemingly straight-forward traffic violation, but when they give pursuit they find themselves taking on gun-runners in the firearm-loaded vehicle. • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (1)

    • Hooker: (to a teenaged perp holding a gun on the officers) You're not in real trouble yet. Not if you drop the gun. Try shooting at us and you'll be dead. And being dead is as much trouble as there is.

    Notes (4)

    • German episode title: "T.J. Hookers Krieg", meaning "T.J. Hooker's War".

    • Guest star Paul Picerni is the brother of episode director Charles Picerni. The pair worked on another episode together, the third season's "Undercover Affair."

    • This is the only episode of the entire series where we hear it confirmed on-screen that Hooker's initial 'T' stands for Thomas. (According to publicity literature for the show, the 'J' stands for Jefferson, though this was never confirmed on-screen).

    • Lee Bryant appears as Fran Hooker in this episode, but for some reason is not credited on-screen.

    Trivia (3)

    • In the chase scene with the hippie van, the lower two headlight lenses on Hooker's patrol car change from orange to clear, and back again, several times.

    • At the end of the episode, Hooker is throwing scrap guns into a vat of molten slag - which is splashing all over the place! A rifle would not cause such disruption of a dense material.

    • In mid-episode you can hear someone say Mr. Shatner's line right before he says it
