  • Episode Description
  • During a stakeout, Hooker is forced to shoot a hired hitman, unable to learn who he was hired to kill. Soon after, an armed robbery at an airport cargo depot leaves security guard Bill Kennedy, an ex-officer, fatally shot. Stacy had previously met the kindly Bill through his blind son Steve, leaving herself, Hooker and Corrigan determined to find whoever pulled the trigger. But their investigations suggest that the hitman and Bill's killing were linked, and that the whole thing seems to be connected to the Mob – and Steve is next on the hit list...moreless

  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (4)

    • Hooker: (to FBI agents) Either of you get in my way again, you're going to need a flashlight and forceps to find your badges.

    • Hooker: (to prostitute) Stay away from people that can hurt you. I don't want you to end up in a drawer, wearing a toe tag.

    • Corrigan: You know, you could learn to be a tad more diplomatic with [Cpt. Danza]. Hooker: I'm taking up needlepoint; I can only concentrate on one thing at a time.

    • Hooker: I don't know what's being hit, and I don't know what's being heisted; but I don't like my streets being dirty.

    Notes (4)

    • German episode title: "Im Dunkel der Nacht", meaning "In the Dark of Night"

    • This is the second of Alex Rocco's two, unrelated appearances on T.J. Hooker. He can also be seen in season three's "Hooker's Run."

    • Some plot element recycling: the bad guys, unaware that Steven Kennedy is blind, think that he can identify them and plan to stop him talking – a plot already used in the second season episode "Blind Justice."

    • James Darren makes his directorial debut for this episode.

    Trivia (3)

    • In this episode we see a Captain Danza grilling Hooker, indicating that Captain Sheridan, who hadn't been seen since the fourth season episode "Anatomy Of A Killing," is no longer stationed at the headquarters.

    • Though with a number of new shots mixed in, the car chase at the climax is recycled from the third season episode "Slay Ride" – in many exterior shots, if you look closely, you can see Hooker dressed as Santa Claus.

    • When Stacy stops from her jog on the beach to talk to Steven Kennedy, the sound of the ocean behind them noticeably fades as she speaks, and crashes back in again on Steven's lines.
