  • Episode Description
  • Convincing high-brow clients of pub grub's merits is tonight's seemingly impossible challenge for the chefs as they try to show that flair and flavor can be found in other than haute cuisine. But first, they get into the spirit of the competition by creating a Quickfire dish to be paired with a cocktail, ala Top Chef's season 3 episode "Cooking By Numbers".

  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (3)

    • Mark: My Yorkshire puddings are solidified dough, and there is nothing I can do. If this were a NASCAR race, my car would be doing somersaults through the air, landing on the roof, and bursting into flames.

    • Ludo: (at the Pub) This kitchen is so small, and we're all here. It's a cage, with live animals inside!

    • Rick: (after sampling all the cocktails) Boofah! We get a nap before we have to do the Quickfire, I hope. Right?

    Notes (1)

    • Some members of the show's production team was nervous having the ladies of The Real Housewives Of Orange County as Quickfire diners. In one of the show's fifth season episodes Alexis Bellini actually spit out her food while dining at Fleur de Lys, the restaurant of season one's Top Chef Masters contestant Hubert Keller.

    Trivia (1)

    • First Run Fan Poll: Which chef would you want to hang out with in a pub? 1. Graham 40% 2. Ludo 12% 3. Wylie 48% (all percentages are as of the end of the initial broadcast.)
