  • Set in the year of Correct Century (CC) 2345, this series tells the story of a war between space colonists calling themselves the Moonrace who wish to colonize Earth, and the Earth Militia forces, which use the ancient Turn A Gundam to retaliate. Two thousand years after the dawn of the space age (Not mentioned if it means the Universal Century 0001 or Anno Domini 1957) the people of Earth have forgotten the space wars of the past and even that they once traveled in space, reverting back to a pre-industrial existence their technology has devolved to the level of World War I and in some places it has regressed to the level of Model-T-style automobiles and biplanes. However, even if the memories of space are long forgotten one group of colonist has not forgotten Earth and its civilization. A lost Tribe of humans calling them the Moonrace, a group of settlers living on the Moon have retained all the scientific arts and high technology making them the last of the advance civilizations colonies left. In there need and out of desperation for new resources the Moonrace looks on the people of earth with envious eyes with all that space and resources that they fail to use. Hoping to return to their ancestral home, the Moonrace contact Earth's feudal lords and attempt to negotiate the transfer of part of the planet as an insular area for the Moonrace. When negotiations for a transfer falter, the Moonrace decides to seize what it desires by force, and Earth's primitive technology proves to be no match against the advanced arsenal of the Moonrace. A expedition sent by the Moonrace to explore the possibility of returning to the Earth making sure a Moonrace can feasible live on Earth , three teenagers Loran Cehack, Keith Laijie, and Fran Doll quickly adapt to life on the green planet. Two years after their arrival, they are followed by the invading Dianna Counter forces. Putting Loran into a position of having to decide between his new-found friends from Earth and the invading forces of his people the Moonrace, so he struggles to bridge the gap between humanity's long-separated branches. Worst he finds himself as the chosen pilot of a ancient relic of Earth's forgotten space age the long dormant legendary Turn A Gundam, he must choose to fight for his new home against his own kind, or maybe he can see his way to bringing these two different civilizations to end this war in a peaceful fashion for he fears that if he does not it be the end of everything he knows and has come to love.moreless

    • This show is believed to be Gundam creator Yoshiyuki Tomino's attempt to consolidate all the Gundam "alternate" universes into one with his own "Universal Century" timeline. Dubbed the "Turn A Bang" theory by fans (a reference to the "Gundam Big Bang" 20th anniversary celebration in 1999), this belief is heavily hinted at in the series but never explicitly stated.
