  • Episode Description
  • Grace, an ambitious OB/GYN who never stopped doing what it takes to get ahead in life, dies when she fails to stop her vehicle at a railway crossing. Othniel accuses her of being, among other things, vain and self-centered to the point of competing with her loving husband, Sam, and ending his medical career. Sent back as nurse Daisy Bradford, she immediately gets on her younger self's nerves and at the same time attracts the affections of Sam, who is drawn to the woman's heart. Sam's wandering eyes make young Grace even colder and Jones has problems trying to talk Daisy out of spending her last night on a date with Sam.moreless

  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (5)

    • (upon dying) Mr. Jones: Hey there! Grace: Where the hell am I? Mr. Jones: Actually, that's where you're not.

    • Grace: This is ridiculous, I can't be dead. I've got so much to do. Judge Othniel: Dr Grace Grant-Hastings, I presume. Mr. Jones: You're up. Come on. Judge Othniel: That's your name with a hyphen in it, lady? Grace: Yes. Are you God? Judge Othniel: No. (laughs) Made in His image, same as you. It says here you are a self-confessed secular humanist. (chuckles to himself) Another noodnick!

    • Judge Othniel: When you chose ambition over love, you sentenced yourself and your husband to a life of emptiness and guilt.

    • Mr. Jones: You want to know why God gave you a second chance Daisy? Because He loves you.

    • Mr. Jones: People can change their lives any time they want. There's no statue of limitations on saying "I'm sorry, I was wrong, I made a mistake."

    Allusions (1)

    • Physician, heal thyself Mr. Jones is quoting Jesus' words from Luke 4:23. One interpretation of the proverb is that people should take care of their own faults instead of correcting others' defects.
