  • The 'Tuvoc' that Little Donny continuously refers to in this episode is the Vulcan character Tuvok from Star Trek: Voyager. This is evidenced in several ways: firstly, Donny's constant references to Tuvok's 'getting home' (the premise of Star Trek: Voyager follows the crew of the Voyager ship, who become lost in deep space, and their struggles to return home), Little Donny's picture of Tuvok in which he is working on his ears (Vulcans have pointy ears), Donny's reference to Tuvok having been 'talking to Worf' (Worf was a Klingon character in Star Trek: The Next Generation and later Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), and finally, the action figure that Little Donny calls Tuvok (but which is, in fact, not a Tuvok figure, but a Captain Sisko figure from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine).

  • The ending is a parody of the old Japanese, American-dubbed monster movies.

  • The end chase sequence is a tribute to British comedian, Benny Hill.
