Cat: Everyone at Hollywood Arts has to play an instrument.
Tori: Okay, well, I sing. My throat is my instrument. I'm a throat player.
      Andre: Doesn't count.
Cat: And it sounds kinda gross.
Andre: Why'd you pick the french horn?
Tori: I don't know. I like french fries, french toast.
Cat: (gasps) One time, when I was eating french toast at a restaurant, I started laughing, and then I started choking, so the lady who ran the restaurant made me leave.

    • Jade: (to Beck) I want coffee. Beck: What's the magic word? Jade: (demanding) Get me some coffee. (Beck stares at her with a serious look) Jade: (in a sweet tone) Please. Beck: Actually the magical word was lotion but I except you please 'cause you have a boo-boo eye. Jade: Two sugars. Beck: I know what to do. (walks away)

    • Beck: (to Jade as he sits down with her) Hey. How are you feeling? Jade: My eye hurts. Beck: Oh yeah, which one? Jade: (sarcastically) Cute.

    • Cat: (to tori) Why did you hit Jade in the face with a cane? Tori: I didn't! Cat: Okay! I believe you. Don't hit me!

    Allusions (2)

    • Locker Stickers:

On the locker that is two away from Tori's, the stickers that are posted all over it, featuring words like "blunder" and "fang", are actually Wacky Packages, which were sold as trading cards and even gave way to the Garbage Pail Kids trading card series.

Inside Tori's locker, there is a sticker that says "Don't You Fake It", which is an allusion to the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus album of the same name, and multiple pictures of Katy Perry.

    • AndrĂ©: Play that funky music white girl. This is a reference to the Wild Cherry song "Play That Funky Music".
