    • Mr. Twiddle - Now let's grab our brooms and give our cages a real good cleaning, hmmmmm. Wally Gator - (imitating Mr. Twiddle)A real good cleaning, hmmmmm. Boy I'd like to send him to the cleaners.

    • Man - Stand and fight like a dragon. Wally Gator - Dragon? What's the matter, don't you reconize a confirmed coward when you see one?

    • Mergatroid - Let me see now. W-A-L-L-Y G-A-T-O-R spells, duckbill platypus! Gee, I'm lucky, I found him right away.

    • Wally - Uh-oh. This concludes my part of the show you know. (Robbers start shooting at him)

    • (Wally gets thrown out of Everglades by Southern Gator) Wally - That's fine southern hospitality, I must say.

    • Wally - (in cannon) Quote "I have not yet begun to fight". Un-quote. Southern Gator - Hot Dog! Right were I like 'em, about waist high. (hits Wally back into cannon with a baseball bat) Wally - I don't care if I never see the Everglades, ever! City Zoo, I'm with you!

    • (Mr. Twiddle drops the grabage can with Wally inside it outside the zoo) Wally - Oh thank you Jeeves. Oh, you might put the car away.

    Trivia (3)

    • Why would Mr. Twiddle leave Wally alone for at least 3 days at the zoo when Wally can't even stay out of trouble when he's there?

    • Why didn't Mr. Twiddle call the Westside Zoo for a friend for Wally like he did when he got Wally a wife in the episode "Bachelor Buttons"?

    • Wally always runs away from the zoo, so it was foolish of Mr. Twiddle to leave Wally in charge of the zoo.

    Allusions (4)

    • Wally Gator: Sorry lady, I've gotta be going, because at 12 'o clock I turn back into a pumpkin you know.
In the movie "Cinderella", Cinderella has to be back by 12 midnight or else she will turn back into a regular maid. This is what Wally is saying except a reference to the the carrage Cinderella rides in which was originally a pumpkin.

    • Title pun: Fame and fortune

    • Title pun: Little red riding hood

    • Candlestick Park: The name of the baseball park that Wally pitches his first game is named "Candelabra Park" and this is one of Hanna Barbera's patented references to well-known places or people. It is referring to the San Fransisco Giants baseball park called Candlestick Park.
