    • The "Where the Action Is" pilot was taped on January 2, 1965 for CBS-TV. When CBS wouldn't air it, it was purchased by NBC who then forfeited it. Finally, ABC-TV bought the pilot and 5 months later, on June 28, 1965, it became a series.
