  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (5)

    • (after Film Dub) Drew: I liked how the one gang at the end did Ryan's getting-out-of-bed noise. Ryan: How do you know? (audience oohs and aahs) Brad: I told him!

    • (before Duet) Wayne: (petting Lassie) She's so pretty! Drew: Hey, whatever, dude. I'm not judging you, you know.

    • Drew: Whose Line salutes great American television. Kinda ironic, isn't it?

    • Colin: (in "Film Dub") You think it's easy sitting here wearing diaphragms on our heads?

    • Wayne: (after "Duet") We get the best chicks on Whose Line?, bro.

    Notes (5)

    • You could hear Sid say a lot of English words during FFD: "garlic" in French, "Poland and Czechoslovakia" in German, and "That's some borscht" in Russian. You could see him laugh while Colin and Ryan did their translations, and Drew didn't even attempt Russian, saying "I'm not following him anymore," which I didn't blame him for doing.

    • Don't know if this was deliberate, but Ryan(who was one of Charlie's Angels) kept calling Colin(who was Bosley) "Charlie" during Sound Effects.

    • Sid Caesar got an even bigger round of applause than what shows up in this episode. When he stepped out, the audience apparently cheered for so long that the applause had to be cut short due to time constraints.

    • They actually did a credit reading with Sid doing various "languages", but Drew forgot to plug Sid's website in the intro. Sid was gone by the time they realized it, so Drew just filmed another intro, and they showed film of everyone celebrating Sid's birthday over the credits instead.

    • According to a website made by some fans who try to attend all the WL tapings, this taping, which happened September 9, 2001, had all of its Foreign Film Dub languages with Sid Caesar used, except they also did Arabic in the scene. With everything that has happened in the country since two days after that taping, it's pretty understandable. They also cut Italian, most likely due to time constraints, but even if they had all the time for airing that they would have liked, Arabic still probably wouldn't be used.

    Trivia (4)

    • The first episode (in either US or UK) to not have a winner.

    • Sid Caeser is best known for playing Your Show of Shows and Caesar's Hour during the 50's.

    • All 9 dogs used to play Lassie have been males playing a female character. Female collies lose their coats once a year, making them unsuitable to play Lassie constantly.

    • Brad asks Lassie if "Jimmy" fell down the well. The character's name was Timmy.
