  • How is this not in the top ten?

  • The second live episode of the series.

  • The show, which has always been a farce, now takes on the limitations of a stage farce, with excellent results.

  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (5)

    • Rosario: I'm sorry lady, I sent them invitations by mistake. Karen: (sighs) Oh yeah? I think the real mistake was when your father spotted your mother across a crowded swamp, dragged her back to his hut and made you. Rosario: I never should have shown you our home movies.

    • Grace: You know what I hear when you talk? I hear blergh blergh blergh blergh blergh.. Jack: And you know what I see when you talk? WIlliam Hurt in a wig.

    • (Will walks back into the room, realizes that his pants weren't on) Will: In case anyone was wondering, Beverly Leslie comes up exactly to my penis. Grace: You still think you're not the one she's embarrassed by? You just showed a little person your little person. In the east coast version Grace says "You still think you're not the one she's embarrassed by? You just showed a leprechaun your pot of gold"

    • Beverly: Well well well...I walk in on a naked man, a man in his underpants and a woman who needs to leave or start filming.

    • Grace: (to Karen) What kind of prescription plan are you on, by the way? Will: I think it's the "Sneak A Truck Across The Canadian Border" plan.

    Notes (3)

    • The cast appeared on "The Today Show" the morning following the live broadcast, where they each rated Matt Lauer's performance.

    • During the curtain call for the West Coast Broadcast, Eric, Debra, Megan and Sean planned a little gig after the cast was introduced. They all ran off for a second and came back with some of the items used during the fight and started spraying Leslie Jordan and Matt Lauer with them.

    • This is the second episode of the series to be broadcast live on NBC. As with the season premiere, "Alive & Schticking", two versions of this episode were filmed and broadcast: one for the east coast, and one for the west coast with different jokes in each. (Note: Only the east coast version of this episode is included on the season 8 and complete series DVD releases.)

    Trivia (1)

    • We all know it would have been impossible for Rosario to clean up the bathroom that quickly. What the crew did was build two bathroom sets. While the camera was on Rosario cleaning up, Eric, Debra, Sean and Megan scurried over to the other set before the cameras needed to capture them.

    Allusions (4)

    • Will: And by the way, where in the world are Matt Lauer's manners? This is a reference to the segment on the Today Show called Where In The World Is Matt Lauer?

    • Karen: (to Rosario) Honey, when I free you you're getting forty-TWO acres and a mule. '40 acres and a mule' is a term for compensation that was to be awarded to freed African American slaves after the Civil War-- 40 acres of land to farm, and a mule with which to drag a plow so the land could be cultivated.

    • Karen: (holding pills) My preciousss... This is an allusion to Gollum from Lord of the Rings who said this phrase often in reference to The One Ring.

    • Grace: I wonder who, Mrs. Roper. This is a quick reference to the wife of Mr. Roper the landlord in Three's Company who dressed in outrageous colored outfits.
