Quotes (4)

  • Karen: It's always been my dream to amass the world's largest private collection of scrap copper wire, and make it into The Guinness Book of World Records. Rosario: I guess World's Biggest Bitch was already taken.

  • Grace: Mmm. This envelope tastes kinda good. Taste the envelope. Will: Stop eating the mail, Grace. Grace: I'll stop eatin' it when they stop makin' it so tasty.

  • Jimmy: (referring to the Cher doll) Ugh, that ridiculous plastic thing is back? Jack: (standing near Karen) Yes, she's back, and she brought my Cher doll with her!

  • Will: What's wrong with you? Grace: What's wrong with me? You're the one that's being all nice to a stranger, fool! Will: What's wrong with being nice to him? He's our neighbor. Grace: Follow the logic Will. First we're nice to him, suddenly we're picking up his newspaper, then we're watering his plants. Before you know it, there's a fire in the building and we're the ones who have to make sure he "got out okay." I'd rather find out on the evening news, thank you. Will: I'm not saying that I wouldn't trample over him on the way out... but while he's alive would it kill us to be nice to him?

Notes (2)

  • Guest actor Stephen Tobolowsky (Ned) also played a slightly neurotic character with the same name in the movie Groundhog's Day.

  • Original titles for this episode included "A Full House..." and "A Fool, And Her Money."

Trivia (4)

  • The blurb Grace says to try to avoid Ned in the elevator as the doors are closing ("Oh, huh, what, I can't stop it...") is the same thing Will did to her when she was trying to catch the elevator to tag along on a date in the season 4 episode "Jingle Balls".

  • This is the first appearance Jack's Cher doll in almost 4 years.

  • Continuity Goof: Will & Grace state that they don't have people they like over for dinner, including Joe & Larry and Rob & Ellen. However, Rob & Ellen are over for dinner in the season 1 episodes "Pilot" and "Alley Cats" and in the season 4 episode "Someone Old, Someplace New." Grace also has Rob and Ellen over for a disastrous dinner in the season 2 episode "Guess Who's Not Coming To Dinner," where they make it pretty clear that they prefer Will's cooking.

  • Goof: The elevator buttons were previously on the right side, but in this episode they are on the left side.

Allusions (1)

  • Episode Title: Company The episode title comes from the Stephen Sondheim song of the same name, which can be heard coming from Ned's apartment after he turns down dinner with Will & Grace.
