  • Continuity Goof: In the season 1 episode "The Truth About Will and Dogs", Will says to Grace that he never saw himself as a dog person when she is trying to persuade him to get a dog. However, in this episode he talks about how he had a dog when he was little and how much he loved the dog.

  • Jack's Cher doll is a $60,000 prototype of a doll that Mattel sold for a short time in 2001. Co-producer/Creator Max Mutchnick currently owns the doll that was featured in the show.

  • The gentleman buying ottomans is Will & Grace set decorator Doug Devine.

  • Robert Romanus, who plays Lenny in this episode, is the real-life husband of W&G writer and executive producer Kari Lizer, who has an uncredited recurring role as Will's secretary Connie.

  • The man sitting against the wall at Cher's table is Kevyn Aucoin, one of the most talented and famous make-up artists of all time. He passed away in 2002.

  • Goof: While Karen and Grace are having a conversation in the office, notice that the pillow that is visible between them moves between shots.

  • The first shot of the last scene has the Cher doll seated on a booster seat in the restaurant. The seat is upsidedown and facing forward. The rest of the scene has the booster seat mysteriously turned backwards.

  • Cher: (After slapping Jack) Snap out of it. This is a reference to the slap and line Cher's character gave Nicolas Cage in the 1987 film Moonstruck, for which she won Best Actress in a Leading Role.

  • Title: Gypsies, Tramps and Weed Since the episode does feature Cher, the title of this episode is a play on the title of her song and album "Gypsys, Tramps & Thieves."
