    • Kim: You're cute.
Will: I'm not cute! I'm grouchy, I'm inflexible... give me a lawn chair and an open robe and I'm my grandfather.

    • Grace: Why is it that whenever I mention Leo, you go, 'Oh, Leo'?
Will: Because I'm trying to make a passive-aggressive point that I'm not crazy about him. I'd hoped you'd picked up on that.

    • Karen: (Going into Stan's office with a look of horror on her face) Stan! That had better be me you're having sex with!!!

    • Jack: I'm going to take you to my Gay Group Therapy. They'll help! Karen: No! No more of your damned Gay Group Therapy. How many times do you expect me to sit through Mamma Mia?

    • Will: A pumpkin picking bike trip on a brisk Fall day? It's madness! Grace: You have to come! Come on, it will be fun, and we're always saying that we should be more spontaneous right? Will: Yeah. I just didn't think it would happen so suddenly!

    Trivia (4)

    • Continuity Goof: In the Season 1 episode, "Boo! Humbug", Will and Grace say how much they hate Halloween, calling it a pointless holiday. However, in this episode they say how they take a day off work for Halloween.

    • While Debra Messing is usually very good with her pratfalls, you can see she starts falling backwards even before she catches the pumpkin.

    • This episode marks the first time we see that Karen's trademark updo is actually a hair piece. Megan Mullally called it her "poof" and she kept it as a souvenir when the show ended. She has it on display in her home on a wig head.

    • The first appearance of Jacque's, the cafe that Jack made in front of his apartment.

    Allusions (4)

    • Jack: Your boobs are as high as an elephant's eye. This is a quick and funny reference to the song from the 1943 Rodgers & Hammerstein musical Oklahoma, "Oh What A Beautiful Morning," with the line: 'The corn is as high as an elephant's eye.'

    • Karen: Apparantly she had him at Jello. This is a reference to the famous line from the Tom Cruise movie Jerry Maguire, "You had me at hello."

    • Episode Title: This is a clear reference to the 1966 television classic, "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown."

    • Jack: Is it hard to be with him after almost having an affair? Karen: Oh, no, honey. That's all behind us. I don't even think about that anymore. Oh, look, I got a spot on my jacket. I'll get it. (Starts rubbing a spot) Out. Out damn spot! This is a reference to the Shakespeare play, Macbeth. Lady Macbeth goes insane with guilt after killing Duncan and thinks she still sees his blood on her hands.
