#508 'Marry Me A Little' & #509 'Marry Me A Little More'
What a beautiful one hour long 100th episode. Everything about it was just perfect. I loved the scenes shot on locations, all the recurring characters attending the wedding ceremony (both of them). But the biggest highlight for me was the scene with Will and Grace talking about their first meeting ever on the roof just moments before she was to marry Leo. The chemistry between Debra Messing and Eric McCormack is just impeccable. It never ceases to amaze me how this show handles serious / dramatic moments while being a sitcom. (10/10)moreless
Grace prepares to walk down the aisle with Leo. Will prepares to fall to pieces.
After a hasty first wedding turned out not to be legal, Grace and her beau, Leo the doctor, opt for a traditional ceremony. Grace’s best friend Will is less than eager to stand in for her father in the role of giving her away. The reason why is explained in a scene that’s as screamingly funny as it is heartbreaking.
Jack and Karen are along for the ride. Jack is nervous, but excited about the festivities; Karen, as per usual, veers in and out of reality. They share an intense and completely baffling moment out in the hall while waiting for the others to get ready. Leo himself is the standard groom's bundle of nerves.
Will and Grace head up to the roof for a wedding jitters talk. It is a stunning moment that brilliantly captures the joy of their friendship and the fear of losing it.
The day is saved for love and romance, and Karen does somehow manage to get to her seat correctly.
This episode is justifiably loved as one of the best examples of funny, moving dialogue and in-depth character portrayal in the series.moreless
