  • Would the virgins please stand up!

  • Yet another Xena look-alike, a pious Hestian Priestess called Leah, is in trouble when a villain wants to destroy the Hestian virgins. Can Xena and her other look-alike, the trampish Meg, help save the day? The weakest of the look-alike trilogy...

  • Halarious. Lucy Lawless is a very capable and versatile actress, and in this last installemnt of the 'look-a-like' episodes, she does not dissappoint.

    • Joxer: (under the impression Gabrielle is working at Meg's house of ill repute) The woman I love is working here. I've got to stop her. On the other hand, I am only a small business transaction away from pressing my lips against her...WHAT AM I SAYING??

    • Leah: (praying to Hestia) How can I pass your wisdom on to these women of questionable virtue, who so obviously disregard the purity of their own bodies? Gabrielle: (interrupts) I was married at the time!! Leah: Yes, well, we all have our little excuses, don't we? Gabrielle: (glaring at a smirking Xena) Were you?!

    • Leah: The chaste life's not so bad, once you get used to it. You simply have to follow the Hestian rules. Rule 1: Know thyself. Rule 2: Whatever... Gabrielle: Believe me! If I had to go the rest of my life without companionship, knowing myself will not be a problem.

    • Hestian Priest: (to Gabrielle) Virgins only!
Gabrielle: What?! Is it written on my forehead?!

    • Gabrielle: You don't have to be a virgin to be virtuous! Leah: Oh yes, you keep telling yourself that, dear.

    Notes (3)

    • The "ancient Hestian" language being spoken by Leah is actually Greek.

    • The concept/character of Leah was based off of Dana Carvey's Church Lady skits on Saturday Night Live.

    • DISCLAIMER: Despite another Xena lookalike, the gene pool (or rather gene puddle) was not harmed during the production of this motion picture.

    Trivia (3)

    • Leah is the third and last of the Xena lookalikes. This episode is also the second episode in a row with a lookalike storyline.

    • This is the third version of the Joxer the Mighty song, sung mainly by the prostitutes in Meg's bar. The lyrics: Prostitutes: Joxer the Mighty / Master of virility / Every woman wants him / He's so sexy it's a sin / If you want a special tryst / He's the man you can't resist / By every measure he's a prize Joxer: Just check out my shoe size Prostitutes: Just check out his shoe size / He's Joxer... Joxer the Mighty! Prostitutes: Joxer the Mighty / Captain of debauchery / Never seems to get enough / Of our tantalizing stuff / If you need some company / With Joxer, there's a guarantee Joxer: Of the highest potency Prostitute: Heck, I'd even work for free! Leah: Take your filthy hands off me! Prostitutes: He's Joxer... Joxer the Mighty!

    • When Gabrielle finds Xena in the forest, Xena explains that she didn't meet Gabrielle in the town because she ran into Zagreas, who was trying to rebuild his army. This is a reference to the second season episode "A Day In The Life" in which Xena tricked a giant into destroying Zagreas' original army.

    Allusions (2)

    • "Onward, Virgin Soldiers" The song that Leah tries to teach the prostitutes is a parody of the English, Christian hymn "Onward, Christian Soldiers," words written in 1865 by Sabine Baring-Gould and music written in 1871 by Arthur Sullivan. This hymn was commonly used by the Salvation Army.

    • Philidepes Game: The game is very similar to '6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon', where you try to connect any celebrity to Kevin Bacon in six steps or less. For example; Lucy Lawless has a Bacon number of 2.

1 - Lucy Lawless was in Spider-Man with Octavia Spencer,
2 - Octavia Spencer was in Beauty Shop with Kevin Bacon
