this is the result of what happens when you attempt to create an entire movies worth of entertainment in only 25 mins. Its just as if the writers sat down and barely got strated before they decided to end it abruptly.
Its literaly as if they came up with this whole idea in a 5 min conversation on a cell phone. I would expect to see something like this on the back of a cereal box or detailed inside of a comic book but when the title blatantly says Movie, well it just doesnt satisfy in the least. What were they thinking? It was bizarre and unintelligent. If only they had given the time and effort the project deserved perhaps this could have been highly enjoyable. Without dwelling any further on the films short length, Im still able to say that it had some failry nice action sequences, the animation was up to par, but you have to ask yourself how much any of those things realy matter if the story is lacking. There was hardly any plot development. What ashame.moreless
They call this a movie?
Yusuke receives a report from Spirit World during one of his street fight matches; Koenma has been kidnapped! And there's only one person fit for the job. Yusuke heads towards the location of the place where Koenma is being held, but runs into much trouble from the kidnapper's henchmen. However, his friends, Heia, Kurama, and Kuwabara, distract and handle them while Yusuke heads towards the main hideout. There, Yusuke meets Koenma, who is being hung above a pit of lava. The boss tells his strongest warrior to battle Yusuke. It was a seesaw competition, until Yusuke finally unleashed his true power. Yusuke frees Koenma, and captures the kidnapper. It seems his true motive to kidnapping Koenma was because when they were little, Koenma stole the girl of his dreams.
The problem with this movie is that...well, it really isn't a movie. Have you ever heard of a movie that was twenty minutes long? It's more like an OVA, but since it was marketed as a movie, it's really disappointing. It'd be an average showing if they didn't say it was a movie, because when you're watching a movie, you're expecting a ton of things. Besides, the story is crappy at best. What this "movie" has going for it is that it has some pretty entertaining fight scenes. Other than that, don't even bother watching this, unless you're a big Yu Yu Hakusho fan.moreless
