  • Mr Mandel picks up a photograph of his wayward daughter, Sue (Judy Geeson) to show McGill. The shot is a medium length picture of a girl with long dark hair (possibly a model). When McGill takes the photograph from him and looks at it we see a different still altogether - a close up portrait shot of Judy Geeson as Sue. edit »
  • "Sweet Sue" first appeared on a pre-recorded video in 1993, entitled "Classic TV Heaven The 60's Volume Two" (Catalogue # 8223). It was part of a compilation of ITC TV series' - "Randall and Hopkirk", "Strange Report" and "Danger Man" were the other productions featured. It was reissued in 2000 by Carlton when it was coupled with the episode "Essay in Evil" (Catalogue # 30074 20953). edit »
  • Richard Bradford has fond memories of Judy Geeson (Sue) recalling her as 'A breath of fresh air!' edit »
  • Actor (and really nice person!) Peter Blythe (Colin) remembers "Man in a Suitcase" as a very happy series, mainly due to Richard Bradford - 'a quiet, kind man, most relaxed. During a conversation he mentioned the studio had rented him a house in Highgate (North London) and once or twice we would go back and play snooker in a very impressive billiard room. I lived close by and once Richard discovered I didn't have a car, he kindly offered to give me a lift home after our days shooting. During one of these rides he was asking me about my work and I mentioned that I'd recently been with the Royal Shakespeare Company - he was so impressed, and after that he treated me as if I were the star of the series, not him!
I share your views, Sharman, he should have made it to the top, but then this profession is full of people who should be much further advanced than they are - and equally full of people who do get to the top and one wonders why!'
Sadly Peter Blythe passed away on June 27th 2004. He was 69 years old. edit »
  • George A. Cooper (Mandel) remembers Richard Bradford as being very good to work with. edit »
