After a brief conflict with Michael, Colonel Carter attempts to lead a rescue mission to save several trapped Atlantis team members.

He was nominated for the 2005 Gemini Award for Best Writing in a Dramatic Series for the Stargate Atlantis episode "The Brotherhood". (edit) His inspiration for the "guards", Casta and Cleo, in "Childhood's End" came from a rather long airplane ride in which he was sitting behind two hyper twins.
