In the original airing, a "special effects" gimmick was added to a scene in this episode as part of FOX's promotion for Jim Carrey's movie, The Mask. When Nurse Froyd attempts to give Tammy a shot at the psychiatric ward, Tammy gets hold of the needle and injects it into Nurse Froyd resulting in her eyes bulging out--similar to the special effects in the film.
