Quotes

Hawk: I think he's surrendering. Let's put our hands down.
BJ: Okay you go first.
Hawk: Thanks. How about if we just put one down?
BJ: Show some guts. Put 'em both down. If he doesn't shoot you, I'll put mine down. If he does shoot you, I'll put yours up again. (edit)
Hawkeye: C'mon, Ralph, let's find more people you can surrender to. (edit)
(Hawkeye, BJ and "Ralph" are walking back to the 4077th because BJ crashed their jeep. They encounter a Korean man trapped underneath a hay wagon.)
Hawkeye: Let me introduce ourselves. That's Ralph, I'm Pierce, and this is Hunnicut whom you already know from driving school. (edit)
Charles: What is that man doing? Is he surrendering?
B.J.: Shame on you, Charles, for not recognizing the international symbol for touchdown. (edit)
Hawkeye: I thought you said this was a shortcut!
BJ: It is a shortcut! Look how fast we got lost! (edit)

Trivia

add »
This episode is nearly identical to the Season 4 episode "The Bus" in which Hawkeye, B.J., Col. Potter, Frank and Radar get lost on the way back to camp and and run across a Korean soldier who wants to surrender. Soon Tek Oh plays the surrendering soldier in both episodes! (edit)
