    great episode hide show

Finishing off the story from part 1, Allison tries to find a link between her dreams and the dreams of Ariel. Devalos is trying to work hard to defend his client from getting imprisoned for murder. Allison tries to help him. Scanlon on the other hand is convinced that devalos' client is guilty and he does everything he can to get him convicted. It's a very interesting episode. We don't get to see everything right away, we see pieces of the clue along the way. It's an awesome episode, the drama the supernatural stuff are blended really well. The writers did a good job with this 2 parter.

Unfortunately I had figured out the whole thing by the 20 first minutes of the FIRST part :( hide show

The story was good the idea was good everything was fine BUT. Unfortunately I had figured out the whole thing by the 20 first minutes of the FIRST part. The whole fun about TV series like that is to keep you guessing to keep you making and/or changing the scenario in your head, or, just sit back and enjoy the plot as it develops waiting for a surprise. If you have it figured out from almost the beginning then it becomes excruciatingly BORING and you find all the characters utterly stupid, seeing them wondering and testing and searching, not being able to see the plot that is revealed naked in front of them. They gave away TOO much. I mean come ON!!! This is an adult series. If a person over 12 years old couldn't figure it out then their IQ must be somewhere between 0,3 and that of a cucumber. They spoiled a perfectly fine story by giving away too much. Shame. I would give it a nice solid 9 if it wasn't for the bad writing. Now it gets a 6 for the effort. Shame.

Great ending to a two part episode! hide show

The burning death of a wife continues...

The new DA really wants to burn Devalos in court and Scanlon gets the dirt to have the Devalos client arrested. There was turpentine on his clothing, an accelerant. The husband is arrested for the murder of his wife. Allison continues to dream about the dentist who does all this dentistry work on a runaway and then belts her in the mouth! Ariel talks to the dead woman's son and learns more about his mother - especially her favorite place to visit!

Allison dreams again, this time with the dentist in the house and the wife puprosely throwing the jar of turpentine at her husbands feet! She puts two and two together and hires Cynthia, with passport in hand, to go visit that wonderful place the dead woman loved to visit, resulting in the new DA getting burned in front of Devalos! Oh, and the rest of the court!!

The ending was dear. Talking to Joe's mother, giving her hope although she hadn't really dreamed anything...and still keeping the secret from Joe.

This is more like the Medium I have come to love. hide show

This was a great episode. It is the conclusion of last week's episode, where Ariel dreams about her classmate's mother (Mary Stacey) dousing herself with gas and lighting herself on fire. The mother then burns to death in a house fire. Allison, on the other hand, is having what we think are unrelated dreams of a dentist who knocks out a prostitute and performs free dental work on her. This week, Mary Stacey's husband, represented by Devalos, is arrested for her murder. The new district attorney is more interested in crushing Devalos than actually serving justice in this case. He grandstands and tries to humiliate Devalos. Allison's dreams change and she realizes the dentist is actually connected to Mary's death, then with a little help from Ariel's dream, she soon realizes Mary and the prostitute were switched and Mary is in cahoots with the dentist. It was a great twist, with the big reveal occuring in the courtroom much to the humiliation of the evil district attorney. Now if Devalos could just get his job back, all would be right in my world!!

  • Goof: Allison states in the episode that she is working for Devalos (and it was established in the last episode that she is not working for Scanlon), but Scanlon introduces her to Dr. Krane as his associate instead of Devalos'. []

  • Devalos: Ladies and gentlemen, I give you direct from Barcleona, Spain, Mary Stacy and her accomplice in crime, Dr. Leo Krane. Your honor, I move for immediate dismissal of all charges against my client. He clearly did not kill his wife. As anyone can plainly see, she is still very much alive. []
  • (Devalos enters his office to see Lee sitting at his desk.)
Lee: Ah, coffee, you shouldn't have gone to all that trouble. What do I owe you?
Devalos: What are you doing in my office? How did you get in here?
Lee: You know how I got in here.
Devalos: Breaking and entering? It's illegal.
Lee: You're right. Tell you what - when we're done here, I'll arrest myself. []
  • Joe: He punched her?
Allison: Right in the face, in the mouth. The very same mouth he'd spent the whole night slaving over.
    Joe: That makes no sense.
    Allison: Thank you.
Joe: You're welcome ... for what?
Allison: For not biting my head off. It's so much nicer hearing that my dreams make no sense coming from you than from Cynthina Keener. []
