Mia Farrow is the daughter of director John Farrow and actress Maureen O'Sullivan (who played Jane in Tarzan. She started doing film in 1959 and is most noticed for the film Rosemary's Baby. She also has done Television and theatre but her final breakthrough was when she met Woody Allen on the set of A Midsummer Night's Sex Comedy. After that Woody Allen wrote many other roles for her including Hannah and Her Sisters in which she starred in the leading role. Mia has 14 children, many of which are adopted.
Mia had a setback in her life at the age of 9 when she contracted Polio.

Mia: The Maharishi did do one thing right. He put meditation in terms the Western world could understand. That was important.

Mia: Women in Africa, generally a lot needs to be done for women. Women are not being educated, not only in Angola but my trip to Nigeria, one point I would make over and over again was that women need to be educated too.
