She got the part of Nadia Santos on Alias after meeting series producer J.J. Abrams for another show of Abrams called Lost but she ended up getting the part of recurring character and eventual series regular on Alias as Sydney's half-sister. (edit) She ranked #99 on the Maxim magazine Hot 100 of 2007 list. (edit) Her height is 5'4. (edit) Mia's grandmother and mother share her name. Unfortunately, Mia's grandmother died before she was born. (edit) Maestro traveled to Austria, where she was able to work with Lauren Bacall and Dennis Hopper in The Venice Project (1999). (edit)

Mia: I’m very surprised at my career because I think I’ve been able to do exactly what I want to do. I’ve been doing theater in NY at Lincoln Center last year, I’ve done this TV show that I’m very proud of which is one of the best TV shows in the States and I’m able to do blockbuster movies, but then I’m able to do independent movies and just keep working in my first language which is Spanish and keep the doors open to go back and shoot in Argentina. So I’m just excited to keep it very eclectic and with a large variety, which I like and the fact that I’m able to work both in Spanish and in English gives me a much bigger array of characters to play and that’s how you keep acting. (edit) Mia: I don’t know what I’m going to do. I have some offers for Argentina and some for here. I haven’t decided if my next movie will be in Spanish or in English so I have to make up my mind and make a decision soon. (edit) Mia (on doing the choreography for the movie Tango): Ashley [Judd] and Salma [Hayek] had to do this tango. And the choreographer had no idea how to dance tango. It was hilarious. This woman had choreographed this whole tango dance like it was out of one of the Zorro movies, you know, very flamboyant, with flamenco steps! So [director] Julie Taymor very nicely said, "Thanks a lot." And then I helped her with some tango steps and we kind of put this 1920s European Tango choreography together. But it was a collaborative effort... I'm from Argentina, so when someone comes with flamenco steps, you know that has nothing to do with tango. Any Argentine could tell you that.
