Michael has starred in three James Cameron Movies; The Terminator (1984), Aliens (1986) and The Abyss (1989). In each film James has had Michael be bitten on the hand by another character.

Michael reprised his role of Kyle Reese in Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991), appearing in a dream sequence with Sarah Connor. This scene was cut from the theatrical version of the film, but was reinstated on the special anniversary DVD.
