Michael O'Donoghue was probably one of the darkest minds comedy has ever known. A product of Harvard, he wrote for The National Lampoon during its early glory days from 1970 to 1974. The day he died he woke up thinking he had a migrane so he took his medication and went back to bed. He woke a second time in a great deal of pain, so his wife called an ambulance. When they got to the hospital he was announced brain dead and taken off life support.
