Max vs. Max

Episode Number: 27    Season Num: 2    First Aired: Wednesday October 5, 1994    Prod Code: 214
Max being the Mighty One is put into question when a boy from England named Maxamillion comes to the attention of Virgil. It is revealed that Maxamillion shares the same birth date as Max and has also received the call that Virgil had earlier sent out in search of the Mighty One. Max who been reluctant since day one about being the prophesized hero connected to the cosmic cap feels that the weight of the entire universe has been lifted off his shoulders. He gladly takes off the cap and offers it to Maxamillion, but Norman stops him saying that Virgil wasn't stating that Max isn't the Mighty One, just that this confusion of identities needs to be cleared up by any means possible.

Virgil decides to put the two through tests in order for him and Norman to identify the true Mighty One. Max searches within himself and decides that he is going to fight and not give up so easily because he has become accustomed somewhat to the cap and the duties that this calling entails making Norman very happy. The current mission provides Virgil with the perfect opportunity to conduct the tests as the group must stop Skull Master from locating the "Lemurian Arcana," an important book containing great power and knowledge that could be disastrous in the hands of evil.
