Mike Milo is an animator/director/writer/producer. Currently he is Directing XIAOLIN SHOWDOWN for Kid's WB. He also has TWO series in development with Warner Bros. Colabborated and illustrated a book entitled Ribeye the Bullbarian and the Jewel of Baloni which can purchase on Amazon. On the side he is actively pitching new and innovative ideas around Hollywood even as we speak!
Mike started out in the business in 1990 animating commercials for Broadcast Arts in NYC. From there his pencil took him out to Yosemite, Ca. as lead animator for software giant Sierra On-Line animating such video game greats as LEISURE SUIT LARRY and SPACE QUEST. Migrating down to LA for a warmer climate, he did layout and animation on several shows for Warner Bros, such as TINY TOONS, TAZMANIA, SHNOOKUMS AND MEAT, PITH POSSUM, TEX TINSTAR, as well as TIMON AND PUMBBA for Disney.
Mike's first directing job was at Film Roman where he was the Assistant Director on Gracie Film's THE CRITIC. Fortune smiled upon him and he was lucky enough to create and direct two shorts for Cartoon Network called BLOO'S GANG and The Ignoramooses for their "What a Cartoon" series. He then Animation Directed and Timed the latter half of THE NEW ADVENTURES OF JOHNNY QUEST at Hanna Barbera where he won two Golden Reel Awards.
Building on this success, Mike went on to direct ANIMANIACS, HISTERIA, Detention and eventually PINKY AND THE BRAIN, which earned him an Emmy Award for his directing skills. He recently also sold a show to Universal Studios called COOL PATROL about two super cops named Luke and Lester.
He was lucky enough to work with two of the most talented teenagers in Hollywood when he Supervising Directing MARY-KATE AND ASHLEY IN ACTION for Dic Entertainment which currently airs on ABC Family.
Riding the storm of 3D in film Mike went on animate and head up the Animation Department at 3DBob Productions on the groundbreaking THE GODMAN feature. Most recently he Directing POLLY AND THE POCKETS, a Direct-to-Video film for Mattel, AND a CGI show for the UK for Mike Young Productions called PET ALIEN.
During all this he managed to marry a princess, co-create two beautiful children, gain a lot of weight and lose a lot of hair. Mike Milo is an animator/director/writer/producer.
