Mikey Way

Mikey Way is very talented. It is thanks to him that My Chemical Romance has their name. He looks up a lot to his older brother, Gerard Way. Mikey is one of my inspirations for many reasons. He is the only person in the band who doesn't smoke, and he is an amazing bass player. I also look up to him because he has bipolar disease, and for a while he said that he didn't know if he could take it. But he over came it to become the person he is now. My Chemical Romance is my favorite band and he helps to make it one of the greatest bands I know. Plus, he is cute! At least with his new look... without his glasses and long hair!

Mikey Way is the bassist of the now famous band My Chemical Romance. His brother Gerard Way is the lead singer. The brothers didn't go to school together while growing up. Mikey was more of the quiet, shy type. His first job was at a local book store in New Jersey with his brother. They worked in differnt department but always saw each other on break. Mikey was scanning through a book. He was reading the first couple of pages when he found a phrase that he had never seen. It read 10 chemical romances. He wondered why no one had ever used it as a band name. But kept it to himself. Soon Gerard started talking about making a band. Mikey gladly accepted and he was the bassist for the unknown band in New Jersey. The band's first song was headfirst for halos and they continued to make more songs. They started playing local shows then went on a tour. Mikey then suggested a band name. My Chemical Romance al the band members loved it. from then they were known as My Chemical Romance. The band's success started growing and they came out with their first album.I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love. They started working even harder and began making deals with record lables. While in work with their next album Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge Gerard was not in the best conditions. He was beginning to overdose on drugs. The band thought it was all coming to an end. When Gerard finally changed he started singing better. And doing preformances without being drunk. Mikey is the only one in the band that does not smoke. He is currently engaged to his fiance Alicia Simmons. Mikey Way is 3 years younger than his brother. He looks up to and idolizes Gerard.
