The teen pop sensation has announced plans to share her life story with fans.

Miley Cyrus, the 15-year-old teen idol better known as "Hannah Montana," plans to write a memoir about her journey to stardom, the Disney Book Group said Tuesday.

The book, to be published by Disney-Hyperion Books and scheduled to hit bookshelves next spring, will trace her life from her roots in the Southern United States to Hollywood celebrity and will feature photographs from her famous family.

Cyrus is the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, who rose to fame with 1992's "Achy, Breaky Heart." In recent years, Miley has rocketed to her own stardom as "Hannah Montana" on the Disney Channel's TV show of the same name about a girl who leads a double life as a teenager and singing sensation.

"I am so excited to let fans in on how important my relationship with my family is to me," Cyrus said in a statement. "I hope to motivate mothers and daughters to build lifetimes of memories together, and inspire kids around the world to live their dreams."

Hannah Montana ranks first among TV series on US cable television for children aged 6 to 14 and reaches more than 164 million viewers worldwide, according to Disney.

Last year's "Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds" concert tour was a sensation, and a recent Disney movie of that tour was a box-office hit.

Disney Book Group and Disney-Hyperion Books are part of the Walt Disney Co.

Just because Miley's 15 doesnt mean that she's not sophisticated enough to write about her life! I know she's still only 15 and young 2 be writing a memoir, but Miley's a great role model, and this book that she's writing could possibly influence kids 2 chase their dream, no matter what happens! So I think this memoir is gonna make a big influence on kids an not only teens lives! I'm probably gonna buy her book too!

Do you guys think she is doing this to prove that she is innocent for the vanity fare pictures.

As hilarious as i find the idea of a fifteen year old bringing out a book ostensibly being called a memior, but who knows what it really will be, I can see the sense of it. Why not try and screw every little red cent out of your fans?

This is a good idea to get kids to plant their faces in a book instead of the TV or video game

I'm very pleased at the overall "ya-gotta-be-kidding-me" sentiment expressed in these comments, but, let's face facts: Her handlers (Disney? her parents?) are smart enough to know to keep digging for gold until the mine is exhausted or ends up in the tabloids a la the ghostly trio, Spears/Hilton/Lohan, et al. Seriously, though, do you expect that people WON'T buy the book? And then the inevitable movie where she plays herself? Excuse me ... I'm suddenly feeling very sick! ;)

I just hope her memoirs have pop-up's in them, otherwise I wouldn't be interested in hearing rich teens brag about themselves.

....Is Miley Cyrus dying? Seriously, you're 15 years old. Wait until you're middle-aged when everyone's forgotten about you to write your memoirs. That's how you're supposed to do it.

At 15, what "memoirs" could you have that are possibly relevent to anybody? I wonder if it will mention her recent foray into having her picture taken in her bra and panties - that's always good for young girls to see their role models doing.

at least live a little longer and actually have some life experience before getting people to write a book on your behalf!

It'll only be good if she talks about the fact that she smokes and drinks and doesn't wear her seatbelt.. you know all those things Disney doesn't want you to know.. But let's just say I've been 15 feet from her while she was taking a drag off a cigarette

Most books I read are memiors and what i've noticed is to get a real tell-all they need to write a memior after their star has faded. Disney as a publisher isn't going to help either. Don't expect a whole lot of suprises here gang, this is going to be an after-school special. It'll read like it's wikipedia guide with more jokes and a it more heart. 30 years from now when she publishes another memior, now THAT'LL be juicy. This, fluff.

This is a smart move of a girl who may already know that her 15 minutes is almost up. Remember her chief mentor is a daddy who knew what it was to become hot stuff and then become a has been. Miley is rapidly approaching has been status. She is becoming more famous for scandal than talent and Miley fatigue is going to set in. So she is cashing in while she can because in a year or two, she will be long gone from the public stage. This is not a memoir, it's another way to suck money out of her audience while she can. She could put out a book of pictures of her and pithy sayings and it would sell like hot cakes right now. Also it is well known that Disney is doing this using ghostwriters so in truth, Miley may actually have very little to do with the project. The only problem is that this book and the Hannah Montana movie are due out in 09 and her ship may have sailed by then.

In Simpsons Comic Book Guy voice: Shortest Book Ever. Seriously, she's 15 and while she may have a more interesting life than other 15 year olds, she hasn't done enough to warrant a memoir. But watch it be a best seller anyways.

i like miley alot. and its nice to hear of a teen idol whose not a slut. but still. she's 15. it's not that she hasn't accomplished alot. it's just that a memoir is usually a book on your lifetime.

Wouldn't it help to actually live a life before writing a memoir? Y'know, actually accomplish something besides 3 seasons of a TV show?

This Miley Cyrus or Hannah Montana thing is all because of heavy media hype. I saw her on Idol gives back and she's a sub-par singer and not to mention dancer. The only reason she is as popular as she is, is because the media has hyped her so much that little pretween children demand that their parents take them to her concert.

LOL this is to funny, a 15 year old? She most likely won't write the book but get co-author credit anyways.

What is she going to put in a book? I was born. I ate food. I grew up. I got a lucky break because my dad is in show business and I have obsessed fans that need help. - Ugh.

If Hannah Montana or her book is the thing that inspires you as a 'mother and daughter to build lifetimes of mermories together' then your life is a sad as roadkill.
