Milla Jovovich was born on December 17, 1975 in Kiev, Ukraine. She is an actress, musician, and model. Her mother was a Russian actress, and her father was a Yugoslavian doctor. As a child she was ridiculed by her classmates for being from Russia during the height of the Cold War. She is multilingual and speaks Serbian, Russian, French and English fluently.



Jovovich started acting in commercials when she was nine years old. She began her professional modeling career when she was eleven, and she was named one of Revlon's most unforgettable women in the world a year

She became an actress in the late 1980s as a teenager and gained popularity through her appearance in Return to the Blue Lagoon (1991) which led to inevitable comparisons between her and another child model-turned-actress, Brooke Shields (who had starred in The Blue Lagoon eleven years earlier). Most of her early appearances were in supporting or cameo roles, but by the late 1990s she was receiving top billing and entered the world of action heroes with her performances in two popular movies based upon the survival horror series, Resident Evil (she has reportedly signed for two more films in this series for release in 2006 and 2007).



In 1994, Jovovich, billed under her first name, Milla, released her critically acclaimed first musical album, The Divine Comedy. Featuring many original songs, the album led to comparisons with Tori Amos and Kate Bush, though Jovovich has of late concentrated more on her acting than her musical career, and has appeared on The Crystal Method album Legion of Boom.



Milla married Shawn Andrews in 1992 during the filming of Dazed and Confused; the marriage was annulled soon after. She later married The Fifth Element director Luc Besson in 1997. They have since divorced. She is currently married to director Paul W. S. Anderson. The couple has a daughter named Ever Gabo.

    She is the most beautiful actress i ever saw ever since i saw Resident Evil. She played Alice good and she knew how to kiss doing it weather she's fighting zombies to Alien like in the Fifth Element she is one of those Actresse who could beat out the competition and win an oscar instead Angelina Jolie who im sick of hearing of Milla is a better actress then her and i think her playing Alice in Resident evil makes it one of her best roles ever . i cant wait to see her play Alice again in Resident Evil Afterlife so she can kick more Zombie ass.

    She did awesome in the Fifth Element and Resident Evil, Zoolander, and she is a awesome super model, and fashion designer. She should do more in the future.

    I like the fact that USA cinema is beginning to accept more foreign actresses and actors, and Mila is no exception. She is quite talented and pretty as well, her different method of acting really makes her stand out whenever she is a scene and not to say that she a certain degree of beauty that makes very attractive.

    Born in 1975 in the Ukaraine, Milla first came to the public in The Return to The Blue Lagoon, but is probably more widely known for her appearances in the 5th Element, and teh Resident Evil films. She married 5Th Element Director Luc Besson in 1997 but they divorced in 1999, and allegedly married Shawn Andrews whilst filming Dazed and Confused, but because she was 16 her mother annulled the marriage ! She went to school with Christina Applegate and had a cameo appearance in Married... with Children. (as did Matt Le Blanc)
    She is due to have her 1st baby October 2007.

    Milla is really hot. I loved her in Fifth Element. That was quite good performance which she provided for that movie. She's adorable. She looks great on the screen. I'm not sure about her acting in other movies, especially when most of them are crappy, but I'll always enjoy her on the screen. Whatsoever.
