Missy Higgins: It's very different, writing a personal song, to talking about your personal life with a stranger. Most songwriters or artists begin their art because they need to find a way to express themselves - because they have trouble doing it the way everyone else does, through conversation. Then we get put in a position where we have to try to explain ourselves - whereas that's the very reason we're in that position in the first place.
