While Amuro is in solitary confinement for ignoring orders, Ramba Ral and his men attack the White Base. Once inside the White Base, Ramba Ral runs into Sayla, who he knows as "Princess Artesia," the daughter of the man he used to serve. When he's caught off guard, Ryu shoots at him. In the exchange gunfire, Ryu is critically injured and Ramba Ral takes his own life.
