Former number one tennis player who won nine Grand Slam singles titles during her career. Seles was the dominant player in women's tennis during the early 90's but an incident in 1993 where she was stabbed on-court by a deranged fan forced her from the sport for a couple of years. When Seles returned to competitive tennis play in 1995 she was no longer a dominant player.
