10 Questions for the Dalai Lama is a movie based on the teachings of the Dalai Lama. Filmmaker Rick Ray tries to examine the questions that many people have about the Dalai Lama, his faith, and his influence in the region that he lives in. Ray traveled to Dharamsala, India and spent several months there, learning about those who are close to the Dalai Lama and those who are his devout followers. This movie features rare footage that has never been seen before, much of which was filmed secretly without the knowledge of the Dalai Lama and through hidden cameras. The movie is a biography, an adventure movie and, at the same time, tries to explore the philosophy and politics behind this much-revered man. The question is, will it create more questions than it answers, or will it finally allow us to understand the Dalai Lama and what he stands for?
