10:30 P.M. Summer is a foreign filmed based on the novel of the same name written by Marguerite Duras. Maria (Melina Mercouri) and Paul (Peter Finch), her husband who does not like Maria's alcoholism, are a married couple taking a vacation through Spain with their daughter. All seems well, but Paul has a secret affair with their mutual friend, Claire (Romy Schneider), who also joins them on their trip. All seems well on their vacation until they make a stop at a town where a terrible murder has taken place. Claire becomes obsessed with the killing and convinces both Maria and Paul to stick around in order to help figure out the mystery. At the same time, Maria becomes suspicious of Paul and Claire's close relationship. What was supposed to be a fun and carefree vacation has turned into drama and tragedy. Will Paul's infidelity ultimately cause Maria to leave him? Will the murder mystery be solved?
