10.5 is a 2004 film directed by John Lafia. The story begins with a devastating earthquake that hits the west coast of U.S and Canada. In Seattle, Washington the consequences are disastrous. But the tragedy is far from over, as a series of powerful aftershocks hit the city with increasing magnitude. With large portions of land falling into the ocean, volcanoes erupting and imminent danger from tsunamis, expert scientist Dr. Samantha Hill (Kim Delaney) tries desperately to convince the President of the United States, Paul Hollister (Beau Bridges), and his geology advisor Roy Nolan (Frank Ward), that only a series of well-placed nuclear explosions will stop the shifting of the tectonic plates. They work against the clock as tragedy moves closer by the minute. Will they succeed in preventing a catastrophe caused by nature's unleashed power and save the millions of American lives? This Emmy Award nominated film abounds with intense action and surreal scenes that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.moreless
