13 Rue Madeleine is a 1946 classic film of war, intrigue, and drama that has gripped generations of audiences. Bob Sharkey (James Cagney) is an instructor for the Allied Office of Strategic Services, training spies to be employed during World War II. When he receives information that one of his students may be a German spy, it is up to Sharkey to determine his identity. It doesn't take long for the seasoned instructor to spot a student, Bill O'Connell (Richard Conte), who seems all too accomplished in espionage for his supposed skill level. What follows becomes an intense cat and mouse game that pits some of the Allies' brightest spies against one of Germany's greatest minds. Will they be able to outwit the mole at his own game, or will Sharkey have met his match in his Nazi counterpart? With daring action, intense drama, and explosive twists, 13 Rue Madeleine is an incomparable thriller that shines with one of James Cagney's greatest performances.moreless
