24: Redemption captures the fans' insatiable need to keep track of the daily dealings of Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) in his never-ending race against time and fight against crime. President Elect Allison Taylor (Cherry Jones) is celebrating a new dawn with the rest of the country on inauguration day in America. On the other hand, Jack Bauer tries to face the ghosts of his past by working as a missionary at an orphanage in Sangala with Carl Benton (Robert Carlyle), who runs an orphanage to help war orphans. US government official, Frank Tammel (Gil Bellows), serves him with a subpoena that requires him to appear before the US Senate on allegations of human rights violations, which Jack refuses to obey. The threat to cut funding for Benton's centre makes him change his mind. His trip, however, is marred by an ambush by General Juma (Tony Todd) that ushers a wild chase between Jack and the rebel leader, Youssou Dubaku (Zolile Nokwe).moreless
