25th Hour is a film brought to you by talented American film director Spike Lee (Malcom X, Inside Man). The movie documents Monty Brogan (Edward Norton) on his last day as a free man before he leaves for prison. Monty came from a good family in New York. Those that surrounded him became teachers and bonds traders, but he took a darker path and became a drug dealer. When he was caught by the police selling drugs out of his house with his girlfriend Naturelle (Rosario Dawson), he was arrested and sentenced to 7 years in prison. On his last day he meets up with his best friends Jacob (Philip Seymour Hoffman) and Slaughtery (Barry Pepper) who accompany him on a trip to visit his father James (Brian Cox). Monty reflects on his life as he travels outside of town to meet old friends and family. He begins to question whether his girlfriend Nautrelle set him up. He also realizes he's being followed by some unfinished business. If you're a fan of Spike Lee, this is a must see!moreless

There are two films at war in director Spike Lee's newest feature 25th Hour, one uninteresting, the other an epic of near-tragic miscalculation.
