365 Nights In Hollywood is a 1934 comedy musical. Alice Perkins (Alice Fay) has her heart set on becoming a movie star. She's just come to Hollywood from Peoria and is a little naive with not much money. Alice gets conned into joining a phony drama school. The school is run by Grant Mitchell (J. Walter Delmar), with his assistant James "Jimmy" Dale (James Dunn). During the day, Alice works as a carhop, in the evening she's in acting classes. Alice meets a man who recently inherited a big sum of money. Mitchell and Dale find out about the man's inheritance and hatch a scheme to get the man's money by asking him to invest in a movie. Dale has ulterior motives, he doesn't want the money, he actually wants to make a movie and he wants Alice to be the star. Comedy, songs and production numbers keep the film rolling, and the viewer wondering: will Alice and Dale get the break they've been waiting for, or will Mitchell's schemes ruin everything?moreless
